What is an LCSW?

Licensed Clinical Social Workers meet educational and training requirements, which include a Master’s degree, three years of supervised clinical experience and successful completion of a state exam. After receiving licensure, LCSW’s are required to earn 35 continuing education units bi-annually to maintain their licensed status. Licensed Clinical Social Workers are regulated by the State of Georgia and accountable to the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Social Workers.
